The CEEM team headed to Morgan, MN for the annual 3-day Farmfest where they spent time with members including Pump and Meter (pictured on the right), NextEra Energy and All Energy Solar. The importance of climate smart policies in agriculture was a key topic of conversation throughout many of the panels.
Clean Energy Economy MN (CEEM) was honored to take part in a recent fact finding trip to Denmark to learn more about the Danish biogas and dairy sectors. CEEM’s Executive Director, Gregg Mast, was one of sixteen delegation members consisting of industry, government and academic leaders from the U.S. and Canada that participated in the trip.
Announced on June 7, CEEM is tremendously proud to share that we are a founding member of the Minnesota Cleantech Consortium. This Consortium will elevate MN as a go-to region for technology innovation, promoting the state’s clean energy future and economic development.
Competitiveness Fund: On Tuesday following the legislative break, the Senate passed the bill to set up a Competitiveness Fund ($115M) for the state to compete for the federal funding available in the IIJA and IRA bills.
CEEM was thrilled to testify alongside authors Sen. Tou Xiong and Rep. Larry Kraft in support of SF2249/HF2524 as amended, which will support the formalization of Minnesota Energy Alley.
Signed into law: On Tuesday, February 7, Governor Walz signed into law 100% carbon-free electricity by 2040. CEEM celebrated the passage of this long-time priority of the clean energy community with the Governor and dozens of other supporters at a signing ceremony.
On Wednesday, January 11, CEEM and five of our business members (National Grid Renewables, Grid Catalyst, Zeus Electric Chassis, Cummins and Ever-Green Energy) were invited by the Senate and House Energy Committees to present the business case for clean energy.
