Despite a divided Legislature, Minnesota advanced clean energy in 2026 through bipartisan support for sustainable aviation fuel and grid modernization.

At the beginning of the 2024 Legislative Session, CEEM had four primary objectives: Advance smart implementation, permitting reform, expand transmission and support increased interconnection. All four of those policy areas saw important progress this session.

During the 2024 Legislative Session Clean Energy Economy MN (CEEM) is focused on building policies encouraging economy-wide decarbonization and market development for clean energy by reducing and eliminating key barriers.CEEM provides “the business voice of clean energy” to influence policy decisions and grow equitable and inclusive clean energy market opportunities.

On May 22, the Minnesota Legislature adjourned a historic legislative session that included a massive bonding bill, increased education funding as well as a never before seen level of new funding for energy investments and programs.
