What Minnesota Can Learn From Germany on Energy Policy

December 14, 2018
South Central College

11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Heritage Hall at South Central College's North Mankato Campus

Attend the next Greater Mankato Growth’s Public Affairs Forum Series to discuss how southern Minnesota is an emerging leader in renewable energy spurred by state energy policy, and the cost competitiveness and growing reliability of renewables when compared to other forms of traditional electrical power generation.  Legislative leaders from across the region--including Senators Rosen, Frentz, and Senjem--have connected with business leaders, farmers, and city leaders in Germany to learn how the transition to renewable energy produces a clean energy future and new economic opportunities.  These legislators will share what they learned in Germany that may help businesses and communities in Southern Minnesota grow. They will be joined by Mr. Jens Acker chief counselor for renewable energy and trade at Germany's Embassy in Washington, D.C.
