Join this CEEM member-only webinar to learn the ins and outs of participating in a proceeding at the Minnesota PUC. Regulatory experts will walk through the process using an example case.

Regulatory agencies and their decisions impact your business, and your participation in proceedings can lead to positive clean energy growth. This webinar is an opportunity for CEEM members to learn from regulatory experts, and to ask questions within a small group of industry participants.

The webinar will be led by:

  • Chris Villarreal, President, Plugged In Strategies

Chris was Director of Policy for the Minnesota Public Utilities and worked for nine years at the California Public Utilities Commission. In these roles, he provided policy and regulatory guidance on matters relating to demand response, rate design, grid modernization, data privacy, data access, cybersecurity, energy storage and distribution system planning. Chris was lead staff in California on its Smart Grid proceeding and participated in many other CPUC proceedings related to rate design, data privacy, data access, energy storage, energy efficiency and demand response.

 

  • Benjamin Stafford, Director of Policy and Public Affairs, CEEM

Benjamin Stafford has over 14 years of engagement in state and federal regulatory policy related to energy and public utilities. Benjamin worked for eight years at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, studied wholesale market regulation in academia, managed state regulatory strategies for a national trade association across 26 states, and provided regulatory and government affairs strategies as a consultant.
