Virginia Mooty Rutter joins Clean Energy Economy MN team
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN – Clean Energy Economy MN (CEEM) is pleased to welcome long-time clean energy policy and research professional Virginia Mooty Rutter into the role of CEEM’s new Manager of Community Relations position. In this newly defined role, Virginia will lead the organization’s outreach and engagement efforts. This includes working with CEEM’s member businesses, partners, policymakers, and community leaders to advance innovative clean energy policies and solutions.
“I am really looking forward to diving into this work and helping CEEM further its mission in building a clean energy economy in Minnesota. We can’t do that alone – we do it through cooperation and strong partnerships. I’m excited to leverage my expertise to help more Minnesotans realize the incredible business potential of energy efficiency and clean energy in creating a healthier, stronger, and more resilient economy for our state,” said Virginia Mooty Rutter, CEEM’s new Manager of Community Relations.
Virginia brings with her nearly 15 years of industry experience. Most recently she served as the Director of Market Development at Twin Cities-based Nokomis Energy, where she conducted market analysis on utility-scale solar. Prior to that, Virginia was the Program Director at Solar United Neighbors of Minnesota, where she launched the program and developed deep relationships across the state. She received her Master of Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute for Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, and she is the founder and leader of the Feminist Fight Club – Minnesota Women in Energy.
CEEM is thrilled to welcome such a seasoned professional to their ranks as they celebrate their five-year anniversary in 2021.
