Group launches to power Minnesota clean-tech and renewable energy businesses

A nonprofit that aims to promote and connect Minnesota’s clean-tech and renewable energy companies launched Tuesday.

Clean Energy Economy Minnesota (CEEM) is led by Gregg Mast, who previously oversaw renewable energy initiatives at nonprofit BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota, a group that later folded into Medical Alley.

“I was always being asked where to go and to get involved in the industry,” Mast said. “Over time, it became clear there was a need for a go-to place for clean energy businesses [that’s] led and organized by businesses across technology sectors.”
