DOE Small Business Voucher Program - Third Round of Funding

The pilot, part of the DOE National Laboratory Impact Initiative, aims to help small businesses by giving them access to expertise and tools at the national labs. The Small Business Voucher pilot funds projects in the areas of solar, geothermal, wind, water, fuel cells, advanced manufacturing, bioenergy, buildings and vehicles. The types of projects include prototyping, materials characterization, high performance computing, modeling and simulation, scaling to generate customer samples, performance validation and regulatory compliance.
 
The pilot launched last September. In total, DOE has funded 76 vouchers valued at approximately $15 million. The next round of funding opened October 10, and DOE is currently seeking out viable applicants. To be eligible, businesses must be U.S.-based and -owned with no more than 500 full-time employees worldwide. If successful, these business can receive between $50,000-$300,000 in vouchers.

The deadline for applications is November 10.
