CEEM cheers passage of Inflation Reduction Act
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN – Today the United States Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 – including $370 billion for significant investments in clean energy technologies. In response to the bill’s passage Clean Energy Economy MN’s Executive Director Gregg Mast released the following statement:
“The Senate’s passage of the Inflation Reduction Act today is a monumental investment in clean energy innovation. It provides a powerful signal to states, and the rest of the world, that America is committed to accelerating clean energy solutions that reduce energy costs, increase energy security and slash harmful emissions,” said CEEM Executive Director Gregg Mast. “These investments provide at least a decade of critical policy certainty that will expand opportunities and revenue streams for our energy efficiency and clean energy businesses. This also means more good paying jobs that will strengthen local economies and benefit all citizens from Greater Minnesota to the Twin Cities.”
