Policy & Pipeline: Turning 2026 session insights into 2027 candidate education
Time: 9 – 9:50 a.mLocation: Virtual
While Minnesota’s 2026 Legislative Session largely centered on non-energy priorities, the clean energy community remained focused on advancing the affordable, reliable, and innovative solutions needed to meet the state’s 2040 carbon-free law. This 50-minute webinar goes beyond the headlines to break down what passed, what remains on the table, and where key opportunities are emerging for 2027 at the state level. We’ll start with a 20-minute legislative briefing from CEEM’s Director of Government Affairs, covering the most important takeaways for the business community as we head into a highly anticipated election year.
The second half of the webinar will shift to an interactive discussion on candidate education. With many new faces expected at the Minnesota Capitol and across state agencies, we continue to communicate a clear business case for the clean energy transition. Together, we’ll brainstorm real-world project examples that demonstrate how clean energy supports affordability and reliability. This collaborative exercise will help build a shared set of talking points to effectively educate current and future decision-makers about existing clean energy projects that are making a difference. We’ll wrap up with an overview of CEEM’s summer policy team plans and an open Q&A to ensure alignment heading into the fall.
