CEEM members, join us for an engaging discussion on the economic potential of retired wind and solar components! Our May webinar will focus on how businesses leverage end-of-life wind and solar products to tap into new revenue-generating streams supporting a circular economy and long-term business growth.

Amanda Cotton and John Gilkeson, from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), will kick off the webinar by sharing the action case and some of the key findings from the ‘reuse and recycling of solar installations at the end of life report’ sent to the Legislature in February 2025.

Kevin Line, from CEEM-member RISE, and Donnie Hopp, from Cosmic Recycling, will share their real-world experiences in developing innovative business models using retired solar and wind products. RISE is implementing plans to recycle wind turbine blades at their Mankato facility into building materials. Meanwhile, Cosmic Recycling has begun recycling solar panels in Fairfax, which has also added new clean energy jobs.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask our speakers questions before we wrap up with small group discussions about how CEEM members can collaborate to maximize the economic potential for end-of-life solar and wind products.

By the end of this webinar, participants will have new insights into how end-of-life wind and solar products can offer new business opportunities and identify potential areas of collaboration and growth.
