Brian Allen, All Energy Solar

Brent Bergland, Mortenson
Brent Bergland is a 25-year veteran of Mortenson and the renewable energy construction industry. Brent is the Vice President of Project Development for Mortenson’s Energy Storage business and leads the energy storage team’s strategy, growth, and project development. Brent has been dedicated full time to the energy storage industry for more than seven years and has been directly involved with 13 projects in AL, AZ, CA, CO, NC, and TX, totaling 5,000+MWh. Brent’s role of vice president of project development has him responsible for creating and implementing the strategy to ensure Mortenson’s business goals are achieved for their utility, IPP, developer, and system integrator customers.
Brent has spent more than 20 years in the renewable energy industry. Prior to energy storage, Brent dedicated 14 years to the wind industry in several leadership roles. His wind experiences included six years leading Mortenson’s project acquisition and positioning efforts in the Canadian market. In addition, Brent played a key role in Mortenson’s international diversification efforts in Australia. His experience building complex, utility-scale energy projects internationally has provided him a unique know-how in the industry.
Brent is a native Minnesotan, having grown up in Maple Plain, and currently resides in Saint Paul with his wife Raina and daughter Kensley. Brent holds a BS in Construction Management from North Dakota State University.

Rao Konidena, Rakon Energy
Rao Konidena founded Rakon Energy LLC because Rao is passionate about connecting clients to cost-effective solutions in energy consulting, storage, distributed energy resources, and electricity policy. Rao likes helping solar and storage developers and consumer and environmental advocate clients with his expertise in electricity policymaking and U.S. energy markets.
Most recently, Rao was with Midcontinent ISO (MISO) as Principal Advisor for Policy Studies, working on energy storage and distributed energy resources. At MISO, Rao worked in management and non-management roles around resource adequacy, economic planning, business management, and policy functions.
Rao is Co-President of the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce – Minnesota (FACC-MN), and on the Board of Ever Green Energy and Minnesota Solar Energy Industries Association (MnSEIA).

Mike Patterson, Trane
Mike is Trane’s System Sales Leader for Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. He has been with Trane for over 15 years holding various positions throughout to include leading the Centrifugal Chiller business. Mike is a member of ASHRAE and a voting member of SSPC 90.1 Energy Efficient Design of New Buildings.
